Dame Zaha Hadid

Born Iraqui and naturalized British citizen in London, where she graduated, she founded her Studio and was anointed in 2010 Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire,  Dame Zaha Hadid was one of the world's most popular architects and designers of our times.

In the words of Richard Rogers “Among architects emerging in the last few decades, no one had any more impact than she did. She fought her way through as a woman”.

In fact, only woman to have ever won the prestigious Pritzker Architecture Prize and the Royal Institute of British Architects’ Stirling Prize, she opened a new path in architectural design, with her distinctive innovative and ever multiform vision of volumes, and an openness to a fearless dialogue between the conception of space and the city which led to the creation of landmark buildings and revolutionary urban masterplans.

With the occasion of Zaha Hadid Exhibition at Palazzo Franchetti in Venice, we join this month the celebration to her shining career.

Zaha Hadid Design

A fascination for objects design, fashion and jewelry, which Zaha Hadid  wore with distinctive elegance, led her to dedicate a less known but extremely impressive part of her work to the design of furniture and furniture complements, sculptural shoes and jewelry, to innovative cars and yachts.
