A selection from the 24-hours video art program “Digital Canvas”, broadcast on ikonoTV in May 2016 and that premiered in New York during the Creative Tech Week (2016).

Following Athens Digital Arts Festival's thematic thread #PostFuture, the selection brings together video works focused on the digital deconstruction / reconstruction of the natural and urban environment while making a direct reference to the history of art. The traditional contemplative approach to landscape typical of Romanticism is here the starting point for a computational interpretation of the environment and its distortion that ranges from vivid, chromatically extreme figurative allusions to the total abstraction of forms, whose vibrations and movements are translated into waves, pulsations and textures.

Digital Canvas for ADAF #PostFuture features works by

Kurt Hentschläger, Chris Coleman, Jacques Perconte, Mateo Amaral, Joe Hamilton,
Laleh Mehran, Philipp Artus, Ulla Nolden, FAX (Andrea Familari), Eelco Brand, Nicolás Rupcich,
Andreas Nicolas Fischer, Pierce Warnecke, and UBERMORGEN
