Rhythms of Life - The Project
Andrew Rogers is one of Australia's most distinguished and internationally recognized contemporary artists. Thirty three years of sculpting has been made in over 700 sculptures in the world including 51 major stone structures that are made of the 'rhythms of life'. • A connected set of drawings. • The first project documented by satellite Rogers' stone sculptures, or geoglyphs, encircle the globe. Its unique and unprecedented project has involved • 7,500 people • in 16 countries • across all seven continents • over 16 years. Rogers receives many international commissions. His critically acclaimed sculptures are in numerous private and prominent public collections and around the world. Rogers' work is exhibited internationally and is the subject of books and documentaries. The Google Cultural Institute has recently joined forces with Rogers and launched the 'Rhythms of Life' project. The exhibition features spectacular, high resolution images.
